Chapter Five
2015 Prayers
August 2015
My Prayer:
My Lord Jesus, my perfect God of all knowledge and wisdom, who leads me, in body, soul, and spirit and gives me direction to live, You are my supreme Provider, You are my noble Master in whom I can trust and Your truth and joy ring in my heart. You have all control over all of my affairs and over everything You have given me: my husband, my children, my home, my family, my friends, my business, all of my responsibilities, my worship to You, and all of my life. It is very important that I understand, do, and want to give You complete control; You are the most important person in my life and You come first. When I surrender and give You control of my life, it acknowledges to You and I that I truly do want You to have control and that You are my King and Master over my entire life; my whole being and everything that You have given me. Without You I have nothing, but with You I have everything. You are the reason I rise every morning; You give my life meaning, reason, and fulfillment. You are my wise Friend and You give me perfect advice. Thank You for teaching me and for helping me to eat the right foods, that I would have good energy to serve You properly. You provide healthy foods and everything else that ensures appropriate and right nutrition, that I would have mental soundness and clarity. I enjoy eating the way You teach me daily.
I want to talk to You about the foods we are to eat. I know sugary foods have very little nutritional value and I know that I should stay away from food with low nutritional value. I need fresh vegetables and fruit. I need good, organic, seeded bread and other foods with essential vitamins and minerals. Lord, I want my body to function properly for You so I can serve You with excellence. Thank You for always empowering me to stay away from the wrong foods. Thank You for empowering me to take time to prepare healthy foods in advance so that they are readily available on a daily basis. I know that fresh and minimally processed foods are the best and exactly what I need. Father, You can do all things and You are the Lord who provides. I thank You for Your provision and for bringing my family and me good and healthy foods. I know that nutrition is important and that proper foods will ensure proper nutrition. Thank You for empowering me to eat right; to look at what I'm eating and to ask You what is good for my family and me. Each day, I want to feel good and have good energy for You, Lord. I thank You and I pray in Your mighty name of energy, Jesus Christ. Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
“This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
(Psalm 118:24)
My Prayer:
My gift of light who has dedicated Your life to me, You are my virtuous, reserved, and meek King, You are my important Restorer, You are my stable and secure God Almighty. You are my beloved and precious Prince of Peace and my moral and upright Master. I submit my mind, words, and actions into Your control daily because I believe You know what's absolutely best for me. You are my Lord who has all knowledge, understanding, and wisdom; I handle my life with Your self-control through Your Spirit of truth and strength. My strength is in Your name and in Your way of doing things, and as I walk in Your truth I walk in Your power. Jesus Christ, You create all peace in me that passes over all of man's understanding, You are the ultimate solution for the world's and my problems. I surrender as I say, “Lord, here I am. Guide me and show me Your ways. You are the One who empowers me with Your knowledge, understanding, and wisdom to walk on Your path.” You are my commendable God who is worthy of imitation; You are my number one role model. You are spotless, pure, and worthy of all my praise, and I exalt You, my precious King of kings.
What a day to be here and rejoice in You, Lord. I can rest in Your promises, assured that as I seek Your Kingdom and Your righteousness above all else, I will be completely taken care of. You tell me: "...do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Matthew 6:25-34)
Thank You Father for empowering me to serve You for all these years. It is such an honor and privilege to be Your servant. I continue to fall in love with You more and more each day as I remember all the times You held me up in Your hands. You never left me, Lord; You never forsook me. You are a faithful God! From the moment You entered my heart, You've remained faithful. You have promised to forgive all who ask and You've always forgiven me. Lord, I hear Your correction, I receive Your guidance, and I repent as You have instructed. Thank You, Father, for making a way for me to remain close to You through the blood of Jesus. Because of His blood, I can be forgiven and I am empowered to live in Your love and in Your light.
I thank You for Your forgiveness, Father, and I thank You for Your mercy. Even when I feel I've messed things up between us, You're still there, right by my side and in my heart. You do correct me, but You are not mean. You are a God of love. I hear Your voice by Your Holy Spirit and I feel Your compassion. Over and over, You're there for me with more than I deserve. You never cease to amaze me, Lord Jesus. You know my heart, Father, better than I do and You always know what's best. As I keep my focus on You, I know You will always lead me on Your narrow path. Your ways are higher than my ways and Your thoughts are higher than my thoughts. As I am willing to follow Your commands, I live a life that is pleasing to You and I fulfill the glorious destiny You've planned for me.
Sometimes things get dark, but You always make a path of light for me to escape harm's way. You continue to pull me forward and we're still going strong together. I am completely humbled as I recognize and recall that I am but dust without Your sustaining Spirit. I am joyfully and utterly dependent upon You and I can rest in Your promise of provision. I understand that Heaven is my home; I can't wait to get there, and my life is forever Yours. I thank You and I pray in sustaining name, Jesus Christ. Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
I need you, Lord, yes I do! You are my everything. You are my guide and Protector. I do not have to face this life alone. I have you, Jesus, and you love me! I don't have to face my trials, depressions, or troubles each day alone. I have You, Jesus. We are one and you will never leave me. You are in my heart. You are there for me in my time of need, Lord Jesus. Lord, let Your presence grow within me; within my heart. Let my heart beat with Your strength and love and let me pass it on to others. I love You, Lord Jesus.
My Prayer:
Good morning, my compassionate Lord who loves and understands me, You are my Jesus and God Almighty who directs and gives me joy. You are my Redeemer and Living Bread; You are my hope of glory. You have risen and You have filled my heart with Your hope, happiness, peace, love, and understanding. You bless me hourly and give me Your wonderful gifts. Your wisdom, grace, mercy, and favor teach me how to live each day. I praise You, my Bright Morning Star; You are my I AM, hallelujah.
I say all of these things because You are in all and You are always there for me. Ted and I are sitting in the west garden. You are so good to us. You have helped us to set up fountains in this garden. The sounds are so beautiful and peaceful. You, Lord Jesus Christ God Almighty, brought these beautiful fountains to us for our pleasure and enjoyment. What a beautiful garden with so many climbing flowers that come up all by themselves with only You pulling them up with Your love and sunshine. They are so beautiful to look at -- all the faces with all the different colors. I see You, Lord, in every one of them. White daisies, yellow marigolds, purple morning glories, and so many others. I hear all the different birds, oh Lord, all lined up on the fence. They are singing beautiful songs from You to me. Oh, how wonderful! Many people have enjoyed this garden. They have also seen Your beauty. “Oh, how beautiful!” they say. I tell them, “It's from our Lord Jesus Christ.” Then they say, “Yes! Yes! I see Him, too!” Your creation is all around us, Lord. You are so good to us.
I'm thinking about what I need to do today for Your kingdom and for Your glory. Your steps are the ones I want to follow. Hold me tight, Lord; I want to be with You forever. I know what I want Lord...I want You! I want to walk with You even in the little things. Sometimes, even in the little things, I ask You for wisdom and You answer me immediately. Lord, You're always there for me! In order for You to have a role in my life, I have to do what is right and I have to seek You at all times. Then, You will give me Your very, very best and lead me forward. Oh Lord, my life has been many things. It has been funny, challenging, sad, glad, thankful, grateful, spontaneous, full of wisdom, peace, love and compassion, and so much more. You have taught me how to share all that You have given me. You have also given me so many other things all throughout my days; blessing after blessing.
I am thankful, Lord, that You are my God and that You are with me at all times. Oh, the love You have for me! I hear an airplane, another one of Your creations. Like the song I heard, “I Can Only Imagine,” the plane makes me wonder about all that You have in store for Your children. I can't wait to see You. Your love spreads over the mountains and the seas; over the whole earth. In the warmth of Your sunlight, I can feel Your arms, full of loving-kindness, wrapping around me. When I kneel and pray, I look up at You and give You my all. You are the One who sets me free and You protect me. You lead me and You counsel me. You put a bright, shining light before me and show me the best way to go. You hold my hand and talk to me all the time. You are so polite. You wait when someone else is talking unless it's an emergency. You know just how to cut in and say a very important statement, which lends much help. Thank You, Lord, for opening my mouth to speak for You. What a joy it is allow You to flow through me to others. Father, please continue to use me for Your purposes. I thank You and I pray in Your glorious name, Jesus Christ! Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
My Prayer:
Dear Jesus, my gracious, thoughtful, faithful, and wise God Almighty who brings all things to my remembrance.
You are the One who removes burdens and who gives me patience; You are my Master and glorious King. You taught me in 1 Corinthians 13 that Your love is patient and kind, that it is friendly and comforting, and that it is humble. Your love behaves with all manners and respect, it is charitable and benevolent and it lives to serve others. Your love is always calm and content and only thinks good; Your love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. Your love bears in all things, believes in all things, hopes in all things, and endures in all things; Your love lasts forever. Each of these virtues of Yours lives through me to others and I thank You that every day of my life and the lives of those around me is blessed. Your warmth, thoughtfulness, and appreciation flows through me to others. Thank You for helping me to live in Your forgiveness, and thank You for empowering me to offer myself as a living sacrifice to You. You are my Deliverer, hallelujah,
Your love is amazing! It covers all details. Not one is left out. Thank You, Lord, for giving Your children ideas to build Your kingdom on earth. I look at all creations that You've allowed us to make; so many wonderful creations You let us have here on earth. You and I are working on a project. I have help that's supposed to do the work and she is not making time for us. We paid her for the work and she claims to know You, as well. Even as I am writing this prayer, I hear You saying to me clearly, “Pray for her and her family.” I've been getting angry because I'm tired of waiting.
I can also hear You saying, “Bring this burden to Me and let Me work on your behalf. If this person who is not treating you right truly knows Me, then she will hear My voice. Remember how far I've brought you on this project. I need you to pray so that My love can move from You to her. You have a circle of people that are around you. You need to remember to bring her to Me in prayer. You should be asking me, 'What can I do to help, Lord?' Show her I am real, alive, and ready to help her. When you pray, it opens the door for you to bring her to Me. Let Me talk to her through you.” Thank You for speaking clearly to me, Father. Let Your will be done, Lord, and not my own. You are always faithful to lead me in what's next. I pray in Your healing and gracious name, Jesus Christ! So be it. Amen! Your servant forever, Carol.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1, KJV)
My Prayer:
My precious, friendly, and benevolent Lord Jesus, of all kindness and mercy who gives the gift of life, You are special to me and I want Your love to shine through me to all others. You inspire my ways, that others would see that You live in me. You allow people to see Your joy and the best of You in me, and You cause them to want to have You in their hearts because they see that I believe and trust in You and that You take care of me. You cause them to see that, even though I'm not perfect, I keep moving forward in You, that You protect me, and that You bless me in all that I do. Thank You, my Shepherd and Bishop of my soul, for everything that You have given me and for supplying me with so many blessings. My God, I am Your child because I am led by Your Spirit (Romans 8:14). I am not good enough, in myself, to approach You for anything, but because of Your blood I have been made righteous in our Father's eyes. Because of Your completed works of salvation, I can come boldly to the throne of grace, with confidence, to receive Your mercy. You keep me in safety wherever I go. You do speak to me, my precious Lord Jesus, hallelujah.
You give me a circle of people to pray for. Where do I start? Husband, children, other family members, church friends, and people that I don't know that I encounter. You tell me to be a testimony to others. You tell me to share how I met You, how I fell in love with You, and where You brought me from. I am so thankful, Lord, that You are my God. I look at others’ needs and the most important thing is that they know You. Thank You for using me to teach others about the compassion and love You have for them. Thank You for using me to teach others that if they walk in Your ways, they can have perfect peace and joy. I know that my prayers open up the door for You to speak to them. When I pray for their needs, pain, and problems, You answer and they know You're real. There is no one else above You, Father. I understand that You bring people into my life, that I would pray for them. I know You will answer and that You will do Your very best for them. I pray the best I know how for them as You let me know what to pray about. In return, You empower me to fall in love with others. You teach me to pray, You teach me how to accept others, You teach me how to have love, You teach me how to have compassion and understanding for others, and how to meet them where they are. Lord, You are the Judge...not me. I am grateful to pass on what I have learned from You to them.
Oh my precious, loving Lord, how great You are! You are concerned about the welfare of all people. You always give me Your true facts about them. You open the doors to welcome me into their lives, that I would teach them of You and what You will do for them. Oh my mighty God, You are true love! Once they learn how wonderful, kind, and loving You are, they will be happy that I brought You into their lives. I have never known a true born-again believer who has ever been sorry to make You his personal Lord and Savior. All I've ever seen a true believer do is talk about, praise, and worship You. I'm so happy to be Your child and servant! You are the Rock of my foundation! I thank You and I pray in Your loving, generous, and righteous name, Jesus Christ. Your servant forever, Carol.
My Prayer:
My Lord Jesus, who supplies all my needs, You are the hope and Father of all nations and You love, care for, and bless mankind. You are the One who gives me the privilege to serve You, You understand me and sometimes You redirect my life in a way I haven't planned. You cause me to remember that You do love me and to realize that You make changes in my life for the best, even if it seems overwhelming at first. You only want to multiply my blessings; I see Your blessings coming with greetings of Your love, joy, and kindness and I receive them with thanksgiving. You are my Lamb of God, with whom I labor together. You supply for me completely, amen, amen.
You gave my husband and me the privilege of running a food bank. We take most of this food to the Christian school. Teachers and staff all together, there are about thirty-five of them. One story a teacher told me: She looked in her cabinet and there was hardly any food. Her husband was out of work. She said, “Lord, You know what I need and I've come to teach at the Christian school for You.” She got to the school, walked into the teacher's lounge, and was so surprised to see that it was all full of food for all the teachers, with plenty to go around! Then she bowed her head with tears in her eyes and said, “You are faithful. You didn't forget me.” Lord, You have given us opportunities to feed a local church and many other people. It is truly a privilege to send out the food once it’s prepared. I know it takes at least three days a week out of our lives, but when other people come to us to receive food, we have joy. We get to visit with them and we talk about You. They tell me what You have done for them and I tell them what You have done for me. During Thanksgiving, You sent 225 dinners to others using us. These people are Your creation, Lord, and I let them know clearly that the gifts are from You and that we're just servants.
You even open the door for gifts at Christmas. Everyone is pleased that You are always there for them and that You remember them. You even let us feed the homeless and drug addicts. You let us tell them about You—one lunch bag at a time. You let us tell them how much You love them and that You forgive them, no matter where they are. We pray over each lunch bag that goes out. Lord, I'm with You; I don't want one single soul to be lost, no matter what she’s done. Continue to use us, Lord. Use us in any way to bring lost souls to You. Time is short, You are coming to get us soon, and we don't want anyone to be left behind. Open up the doors. If any lost soul passes me, stop me, that I would tell her about You. I thank You and I pray in Your supplying name of salvation, Jesus Christ. Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
“Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.” (Psalm 98:1)
My Prayer:
Good morning, my precious Lord Jesus, who loves me so much and who is the strongest and purest form of love, You are my friend, You know how I feel and You know all my thoughts. We have a special friendship that lives through to eternity. You have been there for me so many times when I needed a friend; You have certainly been a most wondrous blessing to me. I can always cast my cares upon You and I walk where You lead me. You are my King and You are the light of the world, amen, amen.
You gave Your life for me to have a way to Heaven to have peace, joy, and happiness in You and on earth. Your sunlight shines on me. It's always so warm. When I have an urgent need, You are always right there for me. You, Lord Jesus, are my Counselor. You give me Your right direction and inner peace. You talk to me and empower me to understand my thoughts. My faith grows as I listen to You and study Your powerful and living Word of truth. When I listen, You give me divine order in what I should do. My loving Lord, You give me unfolding compassion and comfort as I lean on You and Your ways. Any issue I have, You are always right there with me to get me through and You give me all awareness and affirmations in Your truth. You, my blessed and divine Lord, have complete concern for me and all my needs. When I cry out, You are here and You help me to understand why I am feeling the way I do. You encourage me to call upon You to resolve what is bothering me. You are so patient and understanding. You, my Jesus, are committed to me and to helping me grow in You. You are my Father and I am Your child. If I need representation before others, You stand by me and empower me to stand in Your truth in all ways. Holy Spirit, advise me if I ever stray from Your narrow path. Say to me, “Come back to me, My child. Get back on the narrow path.”
Remind me of how You're always there for me and how You know all things. Then I will say, “Oh, my wonderful and kind Lord. You do love me. Nobody loves me like You do.” Thank You, Father, for giving me a notice to stay on track. Lord, take my hand and steer me in the right direction...I surrender. Lord Jesus, I'm so thankful and grateful that I have the right to submit all my concerns, complaints, and radical comments to You, no matter what they are. You hear me, Lord; You understand me, and You are here to empower me to do Your will. I don't have to wait with You, Lord; You are with me in an instant. In a low, soft voice You say, “I am here, My child. What do you need?”
I say, “I need You!” Lord, You always remain with me, You know where I am, and You know when I am hurting. You empower me to turn to You for relief, because I know You are the only permanent solution. Convict me, Lord, to do Your will. I thank You and I pray in Your concerned name, Jesus Christ. Amen! Your child and servant forever, Carol
LET GO AND LET GOD
I believe that I need the Lord, yes I do! Starting now! When I suffer and I don't understand:
God surely does love me. Yes, He does! And I love Him. So be it. Amen!
My Prayer:
My Lord Jesus, my Creator and Father of all, You are the One I adore and praise above all else and You are the One who gives me Your everlasting joy. You are my secret place of dwelling. Whenever I join with You in prayer, I receive the hope and peace of Your Spirit. I not only survive, but thrive with all Your blessings. I thank You so much for what You have done for me. You bless me daily and You will continue to bless me forever. You are my Father in Heaven who pours His love upon me; Your peace and compassion will be with me forever because I am Your child, You live in me and You surely do love me so very much. You are my life of peace, You are my God forever. Blessings to You, Lord, at all times, hallelujah and amen.
I'm in the west garden and I see the birds. They're just chirping and talking and singing. They're eating the bread You told us to give them. They're getting used to us and they're recognizing our voices when we talk to them. They're running along the fence waiting their turn to eat and are really enjoying the food You have for them. They're playing in our fountain as a bath. There is a family with a momma and the babies. I'm reminded of how You told us not to worry about our lives. Just as You take care of the birds, You'll take care of us. You are my faithful God. You are true to Your promises. Therefore, I depend on You, Lord, to take care of us. You know what we need even before we ask. All You want is my submission and then I will see Your power, love, and provision.
Here comes a squirrel. He's running across the fence to get the bread. I guess he didn't see me, because he started eating it. You sent him so we could have a talk. I said to him, “What are you doing here, eating the birds' bread?” He looked at me and just kept eating. I said, “Go away! The bread is for the birds, not you!” He started running across the fence and he jumped onto the roof and I coulda' swore he gave me a dirty look. Then off he went.
Lord, thank You for feeding the birds, even that squirrel, and for providing for my family and me. I've never had to go without. You have given me everything I need and so much more. I thank You and I pray in Your precious name, Jesus Christ. Amen! With love and gratitude, Your child forever, Carol
PRAYER CHANGES THINGS
My Prayer:
My wonderful, kind, and understanding Lord who I know loves me so much and who is my sunshine and fresh air, Today I am thankful for all that You have provided for me. You have truly blessed my family, my friends, and me. I gather everything I have in my heart to give You total thanks and glory. “I give thanks to You, O God, I give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near,” (Psalm 75:1). Lord, my thankful thoughts flow from me to You. You are my kind, loving, and special God, You put a lighted path before me, that I would walk with You. I am thankful that You know the way and that You light my path.
Each time I write You, I get closer and closer to You and I see Your love for me. When I look back and see all that You have brought me through and all that You have done for me, I know it was miracle after miracle. You made the impossible possible. You are my Lord Jesus Christ God Almighty, who is in all things. I give You all the credit, honor, glory, praise, and power. I can't thank You enough. You were there for me, Lord, in everything. Sometimes I couldn't see You working and I thought You had left me behind. I hear You say, “I'm here.” Sometimes it was hard to believe, but You always helped me. You say to me, “I have a plan for you and I'm working on your behalf. You are My child. The biggest plan I have is for you to surrender your life and to give it to me as a living sacrifice. Be a testimony of Me to bring lost souls into My Kingdom. When they hear what I have done for You, they'll want Me to do it for them.” I want to be Your servant, Lord. I will obey by understanding and by loving the lost souls. Have mercy upon these souls and me. Show me exactly what I should say to them. Show me where to give grace to people. Let my testimony be honest. No matter how far down I was, You brought me out.
One of my special adopted daughters, by heart but not on paper, is telling me that her husband doesn't know You. I told her to take him and to put him in Your hands. I helped her to do that. Then You said for me to tell her to open the curtains and the windows to let You in; You are the sunlight and the fresh air. You said to tell her to make a list of all the good things about him instead of complaining. You said for her to thank him for all that he does. You need to come into their home with Your love and understanding. Now that she is giving her husband up to You, she is to step back and stop worrying and complaining. Worry is of the enemy and peace is of You. Let her testimony of Your love flow from her to him, that he would be brought to You. You said for her to take everything out of the house that doesn't glorify You. Lord, I thank You for using me to speak to her, that You would move mightily in her and her husband's life for Your honor, glory, and kingdom. I thank You and I pray all of this in Your mighty name of sunlight, Jesus Christ. Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
My Prayer:
My beloved and understanding Lord Jesus, who rules with mercy and grace, You are my One True God who gives Your favor to Your children, You are my abundant life. You have warm and endearing ways that bring sunshine to my days; the favor You have for me shows me Your love in all that I do. When I share Your favor, it also shows others that I love You and them. You mean so much to me, my blessed Lord. You are kind and compassionate and You have the most pleasing and enjoyable thoughts toward me. My days are so wonderful and beautiful with You. As I trust You, through the day, You keep me calm and You give me encouragement. I am thankful that You truly love me. You are my Eternal God, and I give You my highest praise, hallelujah.
Yesterday, we talked throughout the day but I didn't get to write You. I missed our time together. I feel close to You when I write You. Yesterday was a confusing day. We took the kids to the doctor's and were dealing with all the other projects we have going on. I believe You went before us, Lord, and that You made everything perfect. Even though it was confusing, it was a great day. The parking was close and easy. You helped us with everything. We were so happy to be together as a family. The children had been missing our time together because we were so busy and they're in school now. Lunch was fun; we talked all about You. They know so much about You and I'm so thankful. You let Your love flow through us to others. Oh Lord, how You do love us all so much. You love the family. You want the family to stick together.
You give us Your wisdom to share with each other. Your wisdom is so precious, Lord. It is greater than diamonds and any amount of treasure. You tell us that if we teach our children Your wisdom it will be a pathway to You in their lives. Your wisdom is so powerful—it covers the world. As we walk on this path of wisdom, it will lead us home to You. Your wisdom moves us around this world, keeps us safe, and gives us peace. Many people have not gathered up Your wisdom. Without Your wisdom, they won't know the way. With Your wisdom, we can walk closer to You.
You are the One who hears, holds our hand to walk with You, and gives us that deep intimacy with You. As I walk with You, Lord Jesus, Your wisdom, peace, freedom, and love cover our lives because I'm the mother and You flow through me to them. My God of refuge, I am so grateful for Your wisdom. I trust in You and love You by faith. You have hidden Your powerful and living Word of truth in our hearts. I thank You and I pray in Your awesome, magnificent, and established name, Jesus Christ. Amen! Your child forever, Carol
God answers prayer.
My Prayer:
Jesus Christ, my precious and pure Father who inspires beautiful melodies and welcomes all into His house of freedom, My family and I are a part of Your Kingdom. we are righteous in You, and we let Your light shine through us to the world; we belong to You. You are our God Almighty, we are Your children, and our ways are Your ways. You prepare us to be Your missionaries, and we hear Your call. You give us Your assignments and, in You, we are ready. We are here to serve You through Your love with greatness and effectiveness. You are our strength, You are our Most High God, and You give us steps of faith to be Your true servants. Thank You so much for making us a part of Your everlasting family.
I am blessed in this day You have made. We are going to church today and I thank You that my family and I are in a country where we can worship You freely. I will see one of my sons and his family there. I am so grateful that he and his family are saved. No matter what happens, I will see them in Heaven. What a great day! We are dancing, singing, and raising our hands to You, even the little ones. The message was wonderful. How You speak through others to us is so helpful. If I hadn't come to church, I would have missed this wonderful message. Lord, I'm crying. This message was on love and forgiveness. I said something to one of my other sons. I took things into my own hands. Today, Lord, You're asking me to say I'm sorry and to ask for forgiveness. I know things will work out between us if I do this, because and You will be in our midst. When I say sorry and ask for forgiveness, that's You, Lord; that's Your love. He will forgive me, Lord, because he loves both You and me; he's a believer. Thank You for this lesson and for bringing us back together for Your honor and glory. We will be stronger now. Let it be done. I thank You and I pray in Your mighty and forgiving name, Jesus Christ. Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
My Prayer:
My Lord Jesus, my fabulous and grand Creator who has all power and who reveals the delightful beauty of Your creation, You give me days to rest in You; You are the ultimate Giver. I hear Your voice today. You are my God who speaks through all of Your creations. You allow me to experience Your goodness and You give me peace that is beyond comprehension; the works of Your hands are mighty expressions of Your love. I give myself to You, and allow the Spirit of Your love to captivate my mind. I thank You, Lord, for being my friend; Your friendship is most certainly a blessing.
What a good day, Lord. We're here at the cabin. Last night we watched a great Christian movie with a great lesson, then we went out to see all the millions of stars in Your beautiful night sky. We wondered at Your creation and talked about how magnificent You are. Thank You for allowing us to relax and dwell upon Your wisdom. Yesterday, I walked the path You helped me make. I met a baby rabbit and I told him that he had better go away because our dog will attack him. How cute he is, Lord, with that baby face You gave him. Thank You for letting me see that cute little face. I remember it as clear as day—even now. He must have gotten my message because He ran away. Then I saw a woodpecker pecking away and I said, “What are you doing pecking so loudly this early? You’re gonna wake everyone up!” He looked at me and just kept on peckin'.
The wildflowers, Lord, are so beautiful -- all different colors. I want You to show me how to make gardens here so we can show others Your beauty. My son, Joshua, came out on the deck and he said, “There are two baby deer on the path. They seen us and started jumping. The momma deer was there, too, and they all stayed on the property.” Dad and Joshua went to take pictures of Your beautiful creation and Joshua saw another woodpecker.
Then, we came to the deck to drink coffee and juice and You put on the most magnificent show of a dragonfly. He was a big one. He flew all around us, up and down and all around. I believe You drew him close to us to show us Your beauty. He was so colorful; blues and greens and many others. We were trying to see all the colors. We also saw a grasshopper. We've see all different kinds of Your beautiful trees and all the different colors of green varieties. The wind is giving us a wonderful breeze and the sky is so blue, Lord. It's so beautiful here. We even saw a little squirrel. What a show You put on for us. You're the greatest! Thank You for this wonderful time, Lord. I pray in Your beautiful name, Jesus Christ. Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
“The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows His handiwork.”
(Psalm 19:1)
Starting today, I will believe that You, Lord Jesus, live in me through Your Spirit. I have the power, through You, to do good and live right. You empower me to understand every difficult concept throughout my daily living. I need You to live in and through me to others, Lord Jesus. You are the One who solves every problem that seems impossible to solve. With You, all things are possible. I will go to You, in prayer, and ask for and receive Your strength and understanding. Thank You, Jesus! You do hear me. I need You, Lord. So be it. Amen!
September 2015
My Prayer:
My precious and beloved Lord Jesus Christ, You are my shining light who gives me kindness to soften my heart, Your reality shows me Your love and we have a secure and unified relationship. You have a purpose for everything, even in nature. You are the desire of my heart and Your faith and love are worth passing on. You are my source, my hope, and my caring God; in You I am blessed in the Heavenly realm with every spiritual blessing and You have a grand plan for me.
We are in the front garden that You created. We see the beautiful roses that You have given us. The fragrance that You allow to come out of them is so beautiful. It's all of You, Lord. It's getting to the end of summer. You are bringing in autumn. Everything is changing. The orange and different colors of leaves are so beautiful. They're starting to fall, one by one. The lawn is still green and the flowers are still blooming. Sometimes, You let them bloom until the first snow. You’re telling us to get ready for winter, to do whatever we need to do to prepare, and to take the time to set up everything we need. We have to make sure we have a snow shovel, get ready to shut the outside hoses off, empty the fountains, do whatever we need to make sure our cars are ready, put away things in the yard that need putting away, and cut back the flowers and push them down into their pots. It's starting to get chilly at night. We have to make sure that our wood stove is ready. You want us to be warm and comfortable. You tell us what to do, Lord, and it's up to us to follow Your instructions.
I'm gonna miss the flowers, the fountains, and the green all around. You give us winter so we can have water from the snow. The seasons are for our benefit. I see a bird and he wants a drink. He also decided to take a bath. He hears us talking and he's listening. Undoubtedly, he wants food.
You let us have roommates and they love the garden, as well. They say that they have so much peace and joy here. We are all believers and we always pray for each other. We have fun visiting and talking about You and what You have done for us all. Every day is something new. Oh, the miracles You have given us; You have given us the impossible. Oh, the joy and peace You give us all and Your work is shown everywhere in our lives.
Some of our neighbors are believers and they wave and say, “Good morning!” There are others we are not sure about and we are praying for them. One is an older lady that we often give a helping hand to when You ask it of us.
Lord, now I see a big, wild, black cat jumping up on the fountain to get a drink. I see the bees still gathering nectar. We have to prepare the gardens for winter and You, Lord, are here to help us. It's such a joy to write You because I know You are here with me. I want You to know how thankful I am for what You have done for me. I hear one of my roommates talking on the phone in the east garden. He's trying to find work. Give him work, Lord; he loves You, too. Help him to walk close to You, Lord. I thank You for blessing us all so much and I pray in Your mighty name of loving care, Jesus Christ. Amen! Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
My Prayer:
My encouraging and dedicated Lord Jesus Christ, to whom I belong and whom I love, You are the One who gives me purpose; You are always in me and alongside me. I am designed to grow closer to You and You empower me to do so with unique resources. You love through me to others to encourage, enlighten, and inspire them. You strengthen me and invite me into Your life-changing message of Your powerful and living Gospel of truth. You support me to accomplish the ministry of Your touch of love.
You have led me to make the right choices that brought me to You for Your glory and honor. You let me experience the rich and fulfilled life You intend for me to have, over and over. I have dedicated my life to You and You have shown me how You are always there for me, no matter what. You encourage me in all my hard times. When I need You, I say, “Father, I need You!" You say, “I am here, I will heal your wounds and restore your health.”
Lord, You are the anchor of my soul. I do believe in You, Lord Jesus, and I am so happy to have a relationship with You. When I come boldly to Your throne and give You my burdens, You gladly receive them, You start working on my behalf, and I receive Your grace, mercy, and favor. As I believe and trust in You, I began to see Your work and You set me free. Sometimes when things are falling apart and I'm doubtful, I need to remember and believe that You are working on my behalf. Everything will fall into its proper place with Your hand moving me to where You want me to be.
Lord, empower me to put on Your armor when I am going through spiritual warfare. I have to put on Your full armor. This battle is between the enemy and You. When I put on Your armor, the enemy doesn't stand a chance. You are all-powerful, all-knowing, and You have already won the victory! Each time the battle comes, empower me to surrender to You by suiting up in Your armor. I thank You for everything You have done and for all that is to come. I pray in Your precious and all-knowing name, Jesus Christ. Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
“But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me.”
(2 Timothy 4:17)
God is good!
My Prayer:
My gracious and truthful Lord Jesus Christ, You have restored the beauty of Your creation, You are my God who speaks to me, You are my reason for boldness, and You are the One who empowers me to live in contentment. You are the power within me to have tremendous comprehension, You are the God who gives me Your surpassing peace and You are my great High Priest. You are my foundation of praise toward You, and You are my God who expresses Your true love to me.
When I pray, I believe You hear my words and that You see my heart. I have confidence, Lord, that You delight in me. When I stumble, I run to You knowing that You'll pick me up. Do whatever You need to do to expand my patience, understanding, and compassion toward others. When I can't talk to a certain person because he’s away from me, You let me reach him down deep in my heart through You through prayer. You let me hug him with Your love as I pray. So many days You have put joy in me and a smile on my face. So many days You renewed my heart with new compassion and hope. You take such good care of me. You are my Lord, my God who is always with me. You are almighty! Oh, how You love me. When difficult times come, You always remember me and You are there with me. You allow these times to come, that I would know that I can do nothing without You. I need You, Jesus, every minute of every hour of every day. God, again, You are right there for me; right where I need You most. Lord, I delight in You, too. You are my joy and I will serve You with gladness! Lord, You are so great and amazing. There is no other like You. I will continue to surrender all my life to You every day. I will trust that if You close one door, You will open another door. You will direct my steps and empower me to make the right choices. You are my Love, my Refuge, my Strength, and my Rock. I am nothing without You. I thank You, Heavenly Father, for always being there for me and I pray in Your loving name of glory, Jesus Christ. Amen! With love, Your child forever, Carol
My Prayer:
My beautiful, awesome, and personal Lord Jesus Christ, You are the solution to everything I encounter in this life. You are the God I hear so very clearly, You are my choir and orchestra and I am Yours. I am captivated by Your love; You are my God who gives me the strength to fight the mighty Goliath in my life with only a sling and stone. I stand in awe as I see Your angels protect me from my enemies. You are my God of generous support, and You are my God who accomplishes Your will with the help of Your partners. You are my God who motivates my heart to come to You. You are my God who gives me strength to wait upon You to be strong, and to let my heart take courage.
You have a plan for my life. I humble myself before You to have Your way in me and through me. When I feel like giving up and I don't have faith, You remind me that I have given my life to You as a living sacrifice. You remind me that You are my Helper. You want me to tell You everything that is going on and You want to know every detail. You want to take my burden. You want me to see You work and how much You love me. You will not leave me comfortless and You will protect me. Your love will cover me physically, emotionally, and spiritually. You gave me a promise that You would take care of me when I gave myself to You. Lord, I will give my cares and worries to You; I will rest in You. You are my mighty God. You know my needs even when I can't see them. As each day goes on and as I give my life to You, I can be sure that You will bless me beyond anything I can imagine—even in the impossible. When I am going through trials and am wondering where You are, You show up and comfort me. You are quiet during my test until I ask, “Lord, where are You?” Then, You let me know You are there. You give me Your wisdom and patience to do what I need to do. Lord, it's a true fact: I need You every second of my life.
You are the One who empowers me to empty myself each day and You fill me with Your powerful and living Words of truth and love toward others. As I do this, I will get closer and closer to You; I will get to know You personally. As I do this, I am believing and trusting in You more. You give me a peaceful and straight path to do whatever I need to do to get through all trials and sorrows. Oh Lord, You give me joy! With You, I can overcome all my difficulties! Lord, You wipe my tears with Your love. You heal my broken heart with Your compassion. I am eternally grateful that I have You. You are my Rock and You are the biggest One I know. I thank You and I pray in Your mighty name of generous compassion, Jesus Christ. Amen! Your child and servant forever, Carol
Yes, Lord, I do need You. Guide my thoughts, Lord Jesus. My thoughts create results, dictate my destiny, and govern how I live my daily life. My thoughts are a reflection of the patterns and habits I have formed. My thoughts play in my mind over and over. Lord, You are the One who empowers me to remember that I am a valuable and worthy person in You, Christ. I am a precious and complete person in You, Christ. It's my responsibility to choose the right thoughts in life. You are the One who empowers me to continue choosing the right thoughts for Your honor and glory. So be it. Amen!
You have covered my sins with Your blood, forever and ever!
“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”
(1 John 2:1, NKJV)
October 2015
My Prayer:
Good morning Jesus Christ, my God Almighty, You are the One who has all power and who destroys strongholds, You are my God who gives me the keys to financial prosperity and blessings; everything that is good comes from You. You are my God who empowers me to walk in confidence, You are my God whom I have intimacy with, and You are my God who speaks through me. You are my God who empowers me to abandon the old self, the old nature, and the old ways; You are my God who has given me a new nature. You are my God who heals my brokenness and brings complete restoration and healing. You are my God who allows me to experience Your goodness in my life. You are my God who wipes out doubt and gives me faith and trust; You are my God above all means. You are my all-sufficient God, You are my God who lives in every believer through Your Holy Spirit, and You are my God who understands my feelings even when people don't. You are always there for me in every way. You are my God who empowers me to approach life confidently, honestly, and sincerely.
You, my precious Lord, are here with me today and every day. You never leave me, because You're in my heart and You're definitely part of my life. Thank You for the opportunity to be blessed and to be Your child. Thank You for allowing me to share Your love with others. Every day, You give me a new teaching to share with others. How happy I am to tell them about You. You have given me so many new friends, over the years, who I have been able to witness to and bring to You. You do bless my life and those I tell about You, as well. As I share You gladly, enthusiastically, and with urgency, I share the love and compassion that You have for mankind. It's such a privilege to be Your servant. You are so beautiful, Lord. Your promises come to me at all times, they are there for me, and they are there for my friends and all of our needs. I do believe in You. How could I not because of all that You have done for me? All of my blessings are from You!
As I continue to pray, throughout the day, You uplift me and encourage me to do Your work. In a moment, You speak to me when I'm in a storm. You let me know that You are with me and You empower me to prosper this day. When I'm down and low, You speak to me and say, “I am here. I am Your God. I am your Helper.” I am a true believer because I hear You talk to me, in my heart, and I want to do Your will. As I go through a lot of trials and as I commit my life to You daily, You give me whatever I need. If I am low and my faith is low, You live through me and let Your overflowing love fill my mind and heart. You let me know clearly that You have all the answers. I would be a fool not to listen to You. You say, “You had better listen to Me, I have all the answers.” You always paint a clear picture for me of what You want me to do for You. It's always for You, Lord, because I am here to serve You and bring lost souls to You. You let me know that I live in a broken world with people who have broken hearts. Over and over, You empower me to remember that You are always here with me.
When the enemy tries to talk to me in tough times he says, “God is nowhere. He doesn't care about You. Let's go sin, you'll feel better.” You, Lord, instantly tell me, “That's a lie from the enemy!” You are always in me and by my side and You will never leave me; no matter how lonely or discouraged. You talk to me and say, “I am here. I am Your God. I will see you through this journey to completion.” You, Lord Jesus, inspire and encourage me. Many times, You remind me of my trying times and how You delivered me and prepared the way to freedom. I get my true comfort from You and only You. As I went through many storms then and even now, I see You, Jesus, and I see how You share Your love, hope, and compassion to others through me. Again You say to me, Jesus, “All things are possible with Me.” You have given me a lifetime calling to serve You and to bring lost souls to You for Your honor and glory. I can only do this through You. I want to thank You, Jesus, for all of Your love, support, compassion, and every other good thing You have given me. You are my awesome God and I thank You for being my God. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! I pray in Your precious name of streaming life, Jesus Christ! Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
“...as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15)
My Prayer:
Good evening, my wonderful and special friend and Lord Jesus Christ, You are my God who loves to talk to me all the time and who loves to listen to me anytime. You are my Messiah who gives me hope when I’m hurting. You are the current of my heart and the stream of my life. You are my holy host of angel armies, You are my holy One, You are my Faith of Light, You are my Love and You give me Your great understanding. You are my Jesus of the message of love and redemption for the world, You are my Mighty God who rises above all. Power and life are found in Your Spirit and You freely give them to me. You are my Jesus who I follow and You have given me the cup of Your covenant. You are my Jesus in whom I abide and You give me the promise of Your presence at all times. You are always with me, forever and ever.
Every day, I see Your mighty work in my life and in the lives of others. I see miracles. I truly understand that I do need You every minute of every day. Everything is possible for You. You are the miracle worker and You use Your absolute power to change lives. You have changed my life. You want the very best for all people, including myself. Whatever my need is for today, You say, “Ask and you shall receive!”
There were times when I needed healing. There have been relationships You have restored. You have given me financial breakthroughs when I needed them and even a job. I remember one time specifically, when I was working in a grocery store in the deli. It was such hard work. I knew if I got transferred to the seafood shop that it would be much easier for me. I asked the manager if he would transfer me and he said, “No.” About ten people wanted the position ahead of me with more seniority. “It'll be a while,” he said.
I came home tired from work and I sat down and wrote You a letter asking You, “Please, Lord, move me to the seafood shop.” I also talked to You about other things.
The next morning, when I went to work, the manger came over and said, “There's an opening. I think I'll let you have it. You can start Monday in the seafood shop.”
Lord, I believe my letter went as airmail to You, then You sent it as airmail to the store manager and said, “I’m the Big Boss. Move her to the seafood shop.” I had the job for fourteen years. Thank You, Jesus!
Even if I needed a new place to live, Lord, You have always met my needs. My great and precious God, You have made many of Your promises come alive in my life. As I pray, You always hear me. You never turn Your ear away or just don't listen. You are always eager to hear. In the book of Matthew, You tell me that if two of us agree with You and it is in Your will, You will answer in Your appointed time. You, my God, surely do answer prayers.
Your power is always at work on my behalf because I believe in and agree with You in prayer. Lord Jesus, You love me so much. It took me so long to believe that. I didn't think that anybody loved me, because of my past. “How could anybody love me?” I thought. I thought I had so many things wrong with me, but over time, You reminded me that You, my God, sent Your Son to die on the cross for me. You, Lord Jesus, have given me freedom and have provided for me completely. As I continued to remember over and over that You gave Your life to save me, I wondered, “Would I give my own child for others?” I'm not so sure I have that kind of love. I would lay down my life for my child, but to give him up is entirely different. This really sank into my heart, that I wouldn't do it, but that You did for me. Each time I thought of it, I started believing again and again how much You loved me.
Each day, because faith lives in me through Your Holy Spirit, You empower me to release the faith in my heart and in my mind. You empower me to believe that Your promises are true and that You have many good things for me. Daily, You remind me of all the promises that You have fulfilled in my life. You empower me to understand my life, the plan You have for me, and anybody else who has accepted You as their Savior, too. Lord, You do bless me greatly every day and You will continue to do so forevermore. You know my heart and all my desires and it is Your pleasure to fulfill them. I give You thanks and gratitude for all Your miracles and for all that You have empowered me to accomplish in my life. I agree with You, I agree with all of Your powerful and living Words of truth, and I thank You for empowering me to hear from You in my heart, every day, as I let You live in and through me. I pray in Your miraculous name, Jesus Christ! Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
“...those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.”
(Psalm 34:10, KJV)
My Prayer:
My precious, comforting, and loving Lord Jesus Christ, You are my Salvation who lives through me and gives me the privilege of sharing Your hope, which changes the world. You are my Peace who reminds me that prayer is my greatest avenue for receiving hope and that it pulls me closer to You. You are my deliverance of holiness who shines in the darkness, You are my solid God who empowers me to be humble and, as I walk in Your humility, I bloom brilliantly with the sweetness and kindness of Your fragrance of holiness. You are my Sanctification who gives me fresh efforts daily to experience what it means to walk in Your Spirit and to have eternal life in me. You are my Freedom who loves through me to others with understanding. You are my greatest Counselor who gives me Your extended hand to do Your work daily with Your love and understanding. You are my highest representative who overwhelms me with Your understanding, loving-kindness, and absolute intimacy. You are my Jesus who is the true and shining Witness and Teacher to all believers. You are Hosanna, my remembered Lord, and I am Your servant who listens and who is fully committed to You.
When a loss comes, someone has left us. Something in life can leave that I thought would never happen. My heart starts to hurt and I'm not sure how to deal with it sometimes. When someone dies, it's usually a surprise. Sometimes, we have to wait a long time for them to go home to You. Lord, You taught me that if they knew You then they are in Heaven with You. It is said, “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.” Grieving is a part of remembering someone I love that has been taken away. I can't see her or hear her anymore—only in pictures, in memories, or conversations about her. It is a great love that You gave us through that person. I lose the connection of seeing and touching that person. Lord, You empower me to lean on You with all that I have in these times; to lean on Your understanding and not my own.
When I lose someone in my family, sometimes the hurt can become unbearable. Each one of us grieves in a different way and that person is gone forever. If I know for sure that she knew You and that she had salvation, I can have great comfort knowing that I will see her again in Heaven. You even show me in Your powerful and living Word of truth, the Bible, that all believers will be together. You tell me that all children who have died go straight to You. David said, in Scripture, that he would see his baby in Heaven. Even though I lost a baby, a mother, a father, three sisters, a few nieces and nephews, some in-laws, and some close friends, You were always there. I had a dad I never knew who was a great loss in my life because he was not there to help me mature. You, my compassionate Lord, promise to walk with me through the pain. You want me to grieve and it is okay to grieve. People have grieved since Biblical times. Lord, You know that this is a heavy burden to carry in my heart. If I don't grieve, it can cause bitterness, anger, blame, loneliness, lack of energy, and anxiety for me and others. Lord, I've experienced all of these, but You are the One who empowered me to understand and to grieve properly and You have given me Your peace. I can only do this through You, Christ Jesus!
As I grieve, I need to believe that I will be okay because I have You, Lord, and because You love me. Through each one of these deaths, You held me and empowered me with Your love and compassionate understanding. You sent many people to empower me to hold my head up. They even cried with me, Lord. When I have lost someone and have been through a terrible trial due to a horrible tragedy, You empower me to remember that You are God, to continue my faith in You, and to believe that You'll get me through. I have to believe that You, my God, had a good reason for allowing things to happen the way they did. You have allowed me to have great afflictions concerning my family and friends.
Sometimes it was hard to look to You, as I felt the terrible pain of, “Why? Why? Why did I have to lose them?” You empower me to remember Your goodness, through Your Psalms that are full of expressions of pain and grief. Psalm 6:6 reads, “I fled my bed with tears.” Jesus, You Yourself cried tears (Hebrews 5:7). I feel like I am doing something wrong when I feel such terrible sadness of grief and loss, but You said, “No. I grieve, too.” When I refuse to accept what has happened or refuse to believe that You have a plan, the pain doubles because I am not leaning on You. It's like walking under a dark cloud with rain falling on me and it's cold. I don't feel Your love; I feel abandoned. In time, Lord Jesus, You empower me to turn things around and You empower me to believe that You do have a plan for me. You will get me through this and through my life. The pain will become less and less, as I allow You to love me and coddle me with Your love. Lord, You tell me that the death of my loved ones does change my life forever, but I can still have hope for tomorrow in You. Different changes and different deaths all take a certain degree of adjustment and also require new learning, which needs to be undertaken in order to deal with those people who are not around anymore.
Sometimes, Lord, I felt like the sadness just took control of my life and I couldn't see a good future without them. You always showed up, time after time, to rescue me. Each day, Lord, You show me that grieving is an on-going process that requires understanding and patience that only You can give. I could be doing just fine, then suddenly I'm reminded of my loss and the pain pops up. You, my precious Lord, tell me to be thankful for the time I did have with that person in my life. You gave me anniversaries, birthdays, Christmases and other holidays. These are precious times and memories, Lord, that You have given me to keep in my heart to remember that they did love me and that I love them.
My precious Lord who has all compassion, thank You for being there to empower me to grieve and to cope in my heart with all of Your healing. Throughout my losses, You empowered me to focus on the good things and the good times. I'm even laughing now remembering one of my sisters, when we first started putting make-up on. Lord, at these times You have drawn me closer to You. When I am weak and low in heart, You immediately start the healing process. You empower me to laugh and to cry. As time goes on, You empower me to experience joy and happiness. You empower me to pull bitterness and anger out of my heart and walk on a path toward healing. You the only One, Lord, who picks up the broken pieces and heals my wounds, that I would move ahead for Your honor and glory. It's still all about You, Jesus, and how I can show others how it's You that gets me through. You taught me that grief is an inner sense of loss, sadness, and emptiness. You empowered me with Your wisdom and showed me how I can express these feelings in a healthy way. You empower me to face my grief with You and to not turn to the false gods of drugs, alcohol or isolation. You showed me how the enemy’s way is unhealthy. You empowered me to accept and believe that You'll be with me on this journey to help me make the right decisions. I need to remember that losing a loved one is very devastating but, through You, there's a way to see Your light every day. You go before me, shining Your sunshine of light as You say, “I love you and I'm here for you,” for Your honor and glory. Thank You, Lord! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! I pray in Your precious name, Jesus Christ! So be it! Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
“This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
(Psalm 118:24)
My Prayer:
My Lord, our Lord, my weakness is covered by Your grace and in You I am spiritually mature, My union with You gives me the ability to understand and walk in beneficial and profitable obedience toward Your will, my mighty God. I remember all of Your past graces that You have given me, You kept me motivated and You empowered me to continue on Your narrow path. You opened my eyes, that I would distinguish the enemy's fantasies from Your true reality, and You empowered me to walk in Your powerful and living Word of truth. The Words that came directly from You, that I read in the Bible, regenerated my heart and mind. You are my perfect God, and You have given me the willingness and faith to trust in Your banner of victory.
I did it all with You, Jesus! Lord, as I called upon You, You were always there to equip me to provide all that You wanted me to do according to Your purposes. Each time I prayed for forgiveness for myself and for others, You were there to forgive me with enough to pass on to them as well. Lord, You were always -- and I mean always -- there for me! My labor was not in vain. Each day I grew closer to You, believing in You and how You worked in my life. There were days when I was ashamed and I even questioned my salvation. You reminded me that You love me not matter what and that You forgive me. You are in me and You speak to me constantly. Sometimes, I don't want to listen and I push You aside. Once I became Yours, I truly am Yours, and You will never leave me.
When I was not strong enough, You made me strong as I trusted in You. I praise You, Lord. When I was shy, You made me bold. When the enemy stole from me, You returned and restored everything to me. The days I needed mercy, You reached down with Your righteous right hand and gave it to me abundantly. So many times, I've seen You go before me and protect me. You empowered me to turn every negative thought and comment into positive thoughts and comments. You empowered me to turn gossip over to You and instead pray for others. You always give me Your strength and peace to overcome. When people abuse me and hurt me, You always let me know that I can do all things through You who strengthens me. You empowered me in spite of the valley I was in. You always empower me with Your hope and purpose in all my tribulation.
I believe that You have a plan for my life today. You are the source of the most beautiful memories in my life. You empower me to be patient, strong, and to always trust in and remain faithful to You. You never give up on me, Lord, and You have changed my life for the better. You have empowered me with maturity. When I become frustrated, You empower me to realize that You are my Anchor, my Savior, and my Peace. You are my Rock, my Fortress, my Protector, my Shield, and my Place of safety.
Sometimes, I didn't wait on You and went ahead without Your guidance. In these cases, I always suffered. When I fell, You always understood, picked me up, and forgave me, that I would start over again; You always gave me a new season. When I threw my tantrums, I ended up stressed and depressed because I couldn't handle it all. Sooner or later, I would give up, but You empowered me, and You gave me everything I needed to start a new chapter with You. You supplied me with the wisdom and encouragement to be led on the narrow path for Your plan. Even when I felt that life was so hard and I felt that I couldn't go on, You would say, “My child, I love you. I am working things out for you and for your good.” Even when I didn't have the faith to go on, You empowered me to believe that You are my Lord and God who provides all things for me. When I had tough and struggling times, when I had trouble trusting You and doubts, when I couldn't see or hear You clearly, You always empowered me to remember what You had done for me in the past. You always got me through every situation. You would encourage me and have given me many successes. You have delivered me from many troubles and in every circumstance, You'd say “Don't fret, I'm here.” You take every single request I give You in prayer, and You certainly hear and answer them abundantly, over and over. You never stopped caring for me. You never stopped loving me. You never stopped guiding me. You never stopped protecting me. You are always here for me. I couldn't do it without You, Jesus!
You always provided way above what I could even expect. When I felt alone, You always let me know that You were with me. You are always with me because You live in me. You always made my crooked way straight and always made a way when it seemed there was no way. When I prayed, You always answered. You'd say, “Yes. Be patient. I have something better for you. I will open the right door for you, then you can walk through.” Lord, every day, Your Spirit testifies that I am Your child and that You live in me. Oh Lord, I am just remembering all the blessings, miracles, love, compassion, healing, and joy that You have given me. I'm remembering all the trouble You got me out of and all the pain You have taken away. You did it all, Lord, because You surely do love me.
Today, I can now see how Your plan and direction have brought me to this day. You gave me all the knowledge, wisdom, and patience when it was the hardest to wait. You gave me Your love abundantly and carried me in the times when I couldn't walk with You. I will count it all joy serving You, Lord, this day. Sometimes I didn't even realize what You were doing for me until I got through the storm. Then, I would see how You worked it all out. All the things from my past are gone. This is what You have revealed to me and I can attest to this. Today, Lord, I am new in You. My life has a new purpose. Oh Jesus, how I love You and how You adore me. I'm not an orphan anymore and I'm not lost in the wilderness anymore. In You, I am now royalty! You are my Father, You lifted my weary head high, and You made me a beautiful person. Jesus, I love You and You are my God. You are first in my heart. Thank You for this life, for everything I need, and for everything I'll ever need in the future.
My truest and deepest affections are all toward You. My God, You have made such a difference in my life. I am so thankful that You love me and that You're my God. This heart of mine, which You have softened, is Yours. You've made me a person of love. Thank You, Jesus, for changing me. You breathe new life in me; You breathe new ways in me. You have made me a testimony of where I was and where I am because of my love for You, Your love for me, and because I let You work and live in my life. You did it all because You love me. You have won the victory in my life. You raised me from the depths of depression and gave me Your joy. Lord, I will remember Your love forever. I will remember all that You have done for me. I will remember and hear Your voice and what You’re saying; I will hear Your powerful and living Word of truth. I will pass on all that You have given me to every person You place on my path. I will remember that You have the last Word, “It is finished.” I will stand for You. My life is for You to do with as You please. You have broken the strongholds in my life and I will tell everyone that it was You all along. You got me through it all and now I'm new in You for Your honor and glory. I thank You and I pray in Your beloved name, Jesus Christ. So be it! Amen and hallelujah! Your child forever, Carol
My Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, You are absolutely and utterly faithful and trustworthy to me, I can always trust in You to do what is absolutely best for me. In You, I am able to do everything that You have taught me and I am able to trust in You to do everything that only You can do. Your perspective is the one that counts most and Your methods are the only ones that ultimately and eternally work best. You are my holy Lord and You have blessed me, that my life would become a blessing to others. When You meet my needs I experience peace and fulfillment, which I share with others; You are my God who is never too early or too late, You are always right on time. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are Your ways higher than my ways, and Your thoughts than my thoughts (Isaiah 55:9).
We were being sued by the owners of a house we sold. We got a letter from their lawyer telling us that the roof, which we already paid a new roofer to replace, was leaking. This was even on the contract, that we were supposed to replace the roof before they moved in. After we received that letter, we went to a roofing company and they said that they'd go and get that roof fixed for us. They said that they'd be fully responsible. It seemed kind of scary, so we decided that we might need a lawyer ourselves. The lawyer we sought out wanted $5,000 up front with a total fee of $10,000 and it was possible that we could end up being responsible for the entire cost of another new roof. We didn't have that kind of money, so we went to You, Lord, and we asked You to be our lawyer.
We then received another notice from the buyer's lawyer. We found out, from this notice, that the roofers didn't get a license in that county, a permit, or an inspection before beginning work on the new roof. This house was far away from ours and we trusted the contractor when he told us that everything was ready to go without actually checking for ourselves. We took him at his word and trusted him without going to the house to make sure. The people we sold the house to then hired their own inspector and because of their inspector we found out that the roofers ended up doing the roof wrong. The roofers told us that they got all the proper documents before beginning work, but they lied. Then the county inspectors showed up and they would not let the workers on the property any longer because they didn't follow the proper procedures; they had no license, no permit, and did not have inspections performed before beginning building.
We then got in touch with the roofing company's lawyer once again. He said that they would take full responsibility and that they were looking for a different roofing contractor to fix the roof for the third time. We waited and waited to hear from the roofing company's lawyer. Once we finally heard from him, he said that they couldn't find another roofing contractor to fix the roof. We decided to find a new roofing contractor ourselves. We made sure that this new company had all the proper documents and that they knew the inspector personally. We waited and waited again for the roof to be finished.
It was just about time to go to court and the roof should have been done by that time, but the original roofing company told us that they did not have enough money to pay the new roofing company, so the job hadn't even been started yet. I couldn't help but think, “Oh no, it's not gonna get done.” The buyer's lawyer made us an offer that they wanted us to sign. The offer stated that if the roof was not done by mid-November that we would be responsible for the total cost of $15,000 for the new roof, plus another $10,000 in lawyer fees. To us, that meant that the original roofing company hadn't done anything at all and that they knew that we would be responsible first because we had a contract with the homeowners. The homeowners knew this as well. We took this offer to You in prayer and You said, “Do not accept the offer.”
We have been waiting for almost a year for the roof to be done and it's been really hard on us. Forgive me, Lord, because there were so many times when my faith would diminish. As You told us, we did not agree to the offer and decided not to sign. We decided to wait for You to decide for us; we knew that You would open a different door in our favor. We believe that You saw our side, that You would not make us responsible, and that You knew that we upheld our end of the deal. We already did our part by paying to replace the new roof that needed to be installed before the new homeowners signed the contract to finalize the sale.
We did our best to do our research about the roofing company that we initially chose. We looked them up online to make sure we felt comfortable using them and all seemed well. We would come to find out that the information on their website was inaccurate. Their license in that had been revoked, they didn't update the information on the website, and they ended up lying to us in person as well. Therefore, we felt that they were entirely responsible. They assured us that they had all the right documents and that they would perform all the necessary procedures to begin working—but they did not. They failed to get a license in that county, a permit, and even a proper inspection, but they told us that they did all of these things. When the roof was finished, we went to meet with the contractor to finalize the deal. We paid him and he showed us the paperwork stating that they had fulfilled all the necessary requirements before starting the job.
The day came when we had to go court. We tried to negotiate a settlement with the buyer and their lawyer, but they refused. They wanted the entire amount that they thought they were entitled to. The buyer's lawyer told us that the contract was between the buyers and us and that the roofers had absolutely no say in the matter. He informed us that the law clearly stated that the roof was our responsibility first and that we were to go to the roofing company and sue them for the roof. The judge knew the law clearly as well. Therefore, he enacted the counter suit toward the roofers from us. This meant that, in order to get our money back, we would have to come back to court with a lawsuit against the roofing company.
We were then in a place, yet again, where we had to go to You, Lord. We humbled ourselves and prayed and asked others to pray. We asked You to be our lawyer, to go before us, and to make this crooked path straight. We said, “Not our will, Lord, but Your will. Speak to the judge personally and help him understand that we have done nothing wrong.” The cards were stacked high against us and there didn't seem to be a way out.
Wow, Lord! You truly were our lawyer! You even brought in Your own paperwork to the courtroom through the buyer's lawyer; You brought in the buyer's and seller's contract, which we did not have a copy of. The buyer's lawyer gave his story saying that, by law, we were responsible first. My husband gave our story and said that we did everything we needed to do to get the roof replaced. We made sure that all the other required work was done. We got a licensed plumber, a licensed electrician, and were under the impression that the roofers were licensed as well. I felt like we were really in trouble. Then the judge started talking and was saying how we, as sellers, were responsible for the roof. I sunk back into my seat and the other lawyers were smiling. I even started crying. When I thought there was no hope, You opened the eyes of the judge to see a small clause in the stack of paperwork. Then the judge said if the buyers had asked for a licensed roofer like they had asked for a licensed plumber and electrician, then we would have been responsible. However, because they only asked for a new roof and didn't expect the roof to be done before closing, he could not hold us responsible.
I thought the other lawyer was gonna fall out of his chair! That was basically $30,000 for which we were not responsible, plus another $10,000 if we would have had to pay another lawyer. So that was around $40,000 that You gave us in Your grace, mercy, and favor. Yes, Lord, You brought the paperwork in, the judge read it himself, and You really did talk to him personally. You let the judge see that small clause in the buyer's and seller's contract and You even brought it in through the hands of the other lawyers. You were our big time lawyer! Their lawyer was $385 an hour and You were free because You love us! The judge said to the buyer's lawyer, “Do you want to go after the roofers?”
The buyer's lawyer said, “Absolutely!” Then the judge reversed the order and made the buyers and their lawyer go after the roofing company. The judge also ordered the buyer's lawyer to pay us the $385 an hour for the time that we were in court.
Lord, You sure did talk to that judge personally and helped him see that we were innocent. I saw Your power and I saw You work as our number one, top lawyer. I praise You, Lord! You showed us again who You are. You are our Lord Jesus Christ God Almighty. I asked You, Lord, “Why did You wait so long to get this resolved?” You said that You wanted this story to be in the book I was writing. You wanted me to tell people the whole story of Your power and the miracles that come when we surrender and say, “Not my will, but Yours. Go before me and make it right.” Our precious Lord Jesus Christ, we won this case because we put You first and trusted in You to be our highest lawyer. I cannot thank You enough for working on our behalf. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! I thank You, I praise You, Jesus, and I pray in Your awesome name! So be it! Amen! Your servant forever, Carol.
- I must not blame others, because Satan is responsible.
- I must not try to change others, but I must pray for them.
- I must understand that God is in full control and I must trust Him.
- I must go to God for all the answers to my questions because He knows everything.
- I must remember...God will answer!
