Chapter Seven
Christmas Blessings 2015
My King and Lord, Jesus Christ, You went before me all week and arranged everything into its proper place. You made all things perfect for Your honor and glory.
Blessing #1
My Prayer:
My Lord Jesus, my precious, special, and wonderful Friend, You are my enjoyable God. When I pray, You give me instruction to walk on the right path. You always empower me immensely and it is essential for me to lean on You. When I know nowhere to go or what to do, You compile Your understanding in me and a willingness to listen to You. Your discernment guides me in Your powerful and living Word of truth according to Your insight that You set before me. My Jesus, as I pray to You, the intimacy I have with You and Your powerful and living Word of truth, which lives in me, increases. Your powerful and living Word of truth empowers me with Your direction in difficult times and the purpose of prayer is to give me clear comprehension in understanding Your powerful and living Word of truth and to allow me to trust in You. In seconds, You are able to bring forth Your perfect will. Despite any variable, You can show up with the right people and circumstances. You are like a large, rolling stone that blocks the wrong path and makes the right path clear. I believe and trust that it is Your desire for my life to be filled with happiness and joy. In You, I can live wisely in all my challenges. You are always there for me when I need You.
Lord, You did it again. You went before us and made everything perfect. One of my youngest sons, whom You've given to me, invited the family and some friends to go see a special new movie for Christmas. He bought tickets for everyone, all thirty-one of us! It was a very popular movie and we knew that in order to get good seats we would have to stand in line, possibly for hours. We designated someone to go stand in line early in the morning, but he ended up not being able to go. My son started getting really upset because there was no one to be found to stand in line for us. Everyone was busy working. He was also starting to worry about the seating arrangements. He wanted to make sure that no one had to sit really close or really far back and that we could all be able to sit together. Then I said, “Son, let's pray. No matter what happens, the Lord will get us good seats.” So we prayed and asked You to get us good seats.
Next thing ya' know, my eight-four year old sister called. I told her the story and she said, “I'll stand in line!” We got her to the theatre and there were already four people ahead of her. After a short while, no one had shown up and the other people that were in line ahead of us decided to leave. I assume that they thought that they would still be able to get a good place in line at a later time. That put us first in line. After they had been gone for a few minutes, all of a sudden, tons of people started showing up. Within minutes, the line went clear out the door. We believe that You put a shield up and made us first in line because we prayed. We were so happy. We ended up getting perfect seats for everyone. We all praised You because we knew that it was all because of You! It really is true that You care about the little things, for Your honor and glory—even something as small as a movie. I thank You and I pray in Your caring and loving name, Jesus Christ. So be it. Amen! Your servant forever, Carol
Blessing #2
My Prayer:
My precious Lord Jesus, my great Protector of little ones who knows all things in advance, Yet again, my Lord, You went before us. You most certainly do hear my prayers and You motivated me, as a grandmother, to seek You with a great deal of fire-filled faith. It was You who did the beautiful leading in my granddaughter's steps. Your glory came down and protected her. What an awesome moment! As we held onto hope in You and in Your promises, You held my grand baby in Your arms. What joy knowing that You held her tight and that You remained faithful in taking care of her. You showered Your love and blessings over her as she clung to the words that You spoke to her through me. What a miracle we have today that she's safe and alive.
While my husband and I were still waiting in line at the movies, my daughter-in-law and two granddaughters came to get in line. At that time You, my Lord Jesus, laid a message upon my heart and said, “Take this time to teach your grandchildren. Make sure that that they know what to do if they get lost or if someone takes them.”
So I told them, “If you need help, go to the phone as soon as possible and tell whoever is there that you're lost and to call your mom right away. This is very important!” We practiced mommy's phone number over and over until they knew it. I took a little extra time with the smaller one to make sure that she had it right—she's only five and the other is seven. We left it at that and went to see the movie. This was on Thursday night.
It was now Sunday and my daughter-in-law decided to take her precious Feifay, the smaller one, shopping. As they were entering the crowed doors at the store, people were everywhere. Eventually, my daughter-in-law got inside and turned back to grab little Feifay. To her surprise, Feifay was gone! Fear and anxiety entered her heart and she quickly went back outside and began looking for Feifay. She looked all around and all through the store. After a while, she still couldn't find Feifay. She called her husband and told him that their daughter was missing. He came to the store immediately. They looked everywhere and still couldn't find her. My daughter-in-law began crying out to You, Lord. She cried, “Where's our Feifay!?” Then all of a sudden, her phone rang and it was her!
Feifay had gone to the store next to the one her mother entered. She found a worker and told her, “I'm lost. Please call my mommy right away. It's very important.” Again, Lord, You went ahead of us by putting it upon my heart to teach Feifay her mom's number and how to call if she got lost. You also put a hedge of protection around her and kept her safe. You are my precious God Almighty! Oh, how You were there when we needed You most! You said that if we lean on You, You would lead us and protect us in all that we do. You surely were faithful to that promise! Thank You, my precious Lord Jesus Christ, for Your angels and for this wonderful Christmas blessing. It truly was a miracle from Heaven! I praise You, Lord, I thank You, and I pray in Your precious name, Jesus Christ. So be it! Amen! Your servant forever, Carol.
Blessing #3
My Prayer:
Jesus Christ, my precious, peacemaking, and caring Lord, You are my Problem Solver. You give me professional answers. You give me a great deal of success in my life. Your answers and blessings are the best. You give me answers in the personal experiences I have with You. You are my expert Advisor. Your absolute, powerful, and living Word of truth absolutely exists and is exalted above all else. I have an individual relationship with You. My life completely depends on You and Your wisdom. You are my faithful Lord Jesus, who goes before me and makes things right. You have taught me to recognize Your wisdom and Your timeless, powerful, and living Word of truth. You always show up and make a way for me to live. Your powerful and living Word of truth stands strong forever and ever. You give me great guidance every day of my life. You know the beginning and the end and I love to take Your unfailing advice. You are my immortal God and You give me Your immortal, powerful, and living Word of truth. Lord Jesus, my purpose in life is to live in a right relationship with You. You breathe in me and give me sound, correct, and profitable teachings for my training in Your righteousness and forgiveness. I carry Your righteousness and forgiveness in my heart and in all circumstances.
I have a roommate and we're having a misunderstanding. I left notes on her door and called her, but she wouldn't answer back. I really started to get upset, aggravated, and distressed. I was in a quite the tizzy. It became a heavy burden upon me right before Christmas and I even started to take my eyes off of You because of this frustration. I was losing my compassion and understanding and I was certainly losing my temper, too.
My roommate has to enter a primary door and go down a hallway in order to get to the actual entrance of her room. I have access, through the dining room, to the primary door. As we were putting up Christmas decorations in the dining room, I had an idea and said to my husband, “We could lock the primary door. Then she would have to come through our front door to get to her room.” He said, “No! That's not right, we can't lock her out.” So, we went on and finished decorating.
Low and behold, around 10pm that evening, we heard a loud banging at the front door. We went to the door and it was her! She said, “Why did you lock the door!?”
I looked at my husband and he said, “I didn't lock it." She then said, “Let me get to my room!” I went in front of her and when we got to her door I said, “We have to talk.” So we started talking. At that time You, my Lord Jesus, began to humble us both and began softening our hearts. You gave us both a greater understanding and a greater compassion for one another. We prayed and shared tears together. We both ended up with peace and I know that You wanted us to have peace on Your birthday. Once again, my Lord, You heard my cry. You went before me and made a way for us to have the conversation that was needed.
Now, as far as how that door got locked—we were still oblivious. My daughter had gone outside from the dining room through the primary door to hang up a wreath on the house. When she came back in she thought that she had unlocked the primary door because she didn't know we were leaving it open for our roommate. So she told herself, “I think this door was locked when I came through. I had better lock it just to be safe.” You're so amazing, Lord. You know exactly what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. My roommate now praises You and laughs about how it all happened. I thank You, Lord for loving and caring for us even in our bitter times. I pray in Your precious name of restoration, Jesus Christ. So be it! Amen! Your servant forever, Carol.
